Geordie Skinner

Managing Director

Geordie is the founder of Positive Energy and has over 20 years experience as an electrician. Geordie has worked as an electrician in a number of different industries prior to starting Positive Energy (formerly NGC QLD) some 14 years ago. He holds electrical contractor licences in all states of Australia, and also has further training in telecommunications & structured cabling, lighting, electrical engineering and also business management and sales. Geordie is also on the board of the Australian Shop and Office Fitting Industry Association (ASOFIA)

Scott Kelly

QLD Manager

Scott joined Positive Energy in early 2011 in the role of Project Manager. Scott’s role includes estimating and managing fitouts of our construction projects, and has now taken on the role of managing our service division. Scott has over 20 years of comprehensive experience in the electrical industry. He has worked in the design and construction of the switchboard industry, commercial, industrial, automation and domestic fields. Scott then spent many years running his own electrical contracting business before moving onto work for Clipsal as a C-Bus Technical Representative. Scott then moved onto manage a medium sized commercial electrical company in Brisbane. Scott is a licensed electrical fitter mechanic, registered open telecommunications cabler with further qualifications in technical courses.

Michael Witteveen

Project Manager

Michael joined the Positive Energy team in June 2009 as Project Manager. Michael has 15 years experience in the electrical industry, with comprehensive experience as Electrician, Site Manager and Project Manager. He has experience in mining, government, defence, industrial, commercial and residential construction projects, as well as commercial fitout and maintenance industries. Michael is a licenced electrical fitter mechanic, open registered telecommunications cabler and has further qualifications in telecommunications, industrial automation and logic control systems.

Peter Conway

Purchasing Officer & Warehouse Manager

Peter joined Positive Energy in 2004 as Purchasing Officer. Peter came from an electrical wholesaler background, but prior to that has over 40 years experience in the electrical industry. Peter has an invaluable wealth of knowledge of the industry, and a depth of experience, including roles as an electrician in the railways, the army, in private enterprise, and running his own small electrical contracting business for many years. Peter is a licenced electrical fitter mechanic, and also holds university degree qualifications.

Chris Hackett

Senior Estimator

Chris joined Positive Energy in June 2011 as our Senior estimator. Chris has over 17 years of comprehensive experience in the electrical industry. He has worked in domestic, commercial and industrial fields. Chris has run his own electrical contracting company for last 7 years prior to working for Positivenergy . Chris is a licenced electrical fitter mechanic and registered open telecommunications cabler.

Greg Matthews

Estimator

Greg Matthews started with Positive Energy as an apprentice electrician in 2005, After a successful onsite electricians role, Greg has moved into our Estimating department. Greg’s experience in the interior fitout industry has given him an intimate knowledge of retail, office and hospitality fitouts. Greg is a licenced electrical fitter mechanic in QLD and registered open telecommunications cabler.

Sue Callaghan

Office/Accounts Manager

Sue joined Positive Energy in 2006 as Office Manager, and implemented new computer systems, stock control systems, policies & procedures etc that have been the baseline for Positive Energy's large growth and national expansion. Sue also manages Positive Energy's accounts and finances. Prior to joining Positive Energy, Sue spent 18 years in the importing/wholesale business as Assistant Manager to the Director, then General Manager for 7 years. Sue's vast experience in administrative procedures and management has been instrumental in the shift the company has taken towards being a highly professional and efficient organisation.
